Bilan Carbone ®, a strategic tool
Bilan Carbone® is a method and tool for assessing the greenhouse gas emissions and fossil-fuel dependency of organisations. Jean-Marc Jancovici developed Bilan Carbone® for the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management (ADEME).
The tool is compatible with major international standards, in particular ISO. It can be implemented in a reasonable time frame, using data that are generally readily available to any organisation, whether it be a company, a local authority, central government, not-for-profit group, etc.
