Carbone 4 in Sweden for training African professionals

From November 23 to 24, 2015, Juliette Decq, consultant for Carbone 4 facilitated a 2-day training at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (Norrköping – Sweden) for African professionals coming from Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso and working on climate change topics.

On the agenda, a recap of mitigation issues with a short game about the carbon cycle, a presentation of meaningful mitigation solutions, a participatory exercise on individual carbon footprint, a group exercise on prospective analysis and decision making in a context of uncertainty, the presentation of the issues of international negotiations on climate change and a serious game of the COP21 conference.

The return of the participants was very positive, the training giving key concepts to understand the context of the energy transition and the fight against climate change, as well as practical tools for the development of their professional projects.
