Carbone 4 has joined the International Platform for Insetting (IPI) as an associated member. Our consultancy confirms its business development dynamic towards Insetting, an approach aimed at fighting climate change within a company’s direct sphere of influence. Contrary to simple carbon offsetting, Insetting induces multiple benefits for a company, its value chain, and its products, and more generally, for the ecosystem as a whole.
The International Platform for Insetting (IPI) is an association created under French law (loi 1901) in 2013 by PUR Project, aimed at defining, defending, and promoting Insetting. It brings together pioneering insetted companies (AccorHotels, Nespresso, Chanel, L’Oréal, Kering…), agroforestry project developers and operators (PUR Projet, Adaptogether…), project certifiers and promoters (Ecocert, Ekodev, Plan Vivo…), as well as a large array of funding partners (Althelia, Moringafund, Oiko Credit, Mirova…).
As an associated member of this challenging and complementary network, Carbone 4 will take part in the design of methods, projects, and norms which come with the development of new Insetting practices in company value chains. Carbone 4 will more specifically work on topics such as energy efficiency, transportation of goods, and green energy production.
