Areas of expertise
Florence joined the finance practice of Carbone 4 in August 2021. She's a graduate of Sciences Po Paris, Université Paris-Dauphine and Imperial College London - where she studied finance and the physics of climate change.
Before Carbone 4, Florence was employed for two years at international think tank "2 Degrees Investing Initiative", where she worked on the development of a methodology which measures the alignment of a corporate credit portfolio with climate scenarios (PACTA). She then joined BNP Paribas where she worked for a year on transition risk in the transport industry, and on physical risk - there, she developed a method for the exploitation and interpretation of climate-projection data, to approximate the vulnerability of the bank's corporate clients.
At Carbone 4, Florence works on carbon accounting for companies of different industries, on environmental due diligence for financial actors, and contributes to the development of the methodologies pioneered by the finance practice. She also works on physical risk studies on behalf of investors and large corporates in the finance-, energy-, utility- and agricultural sectors.
