Benoit joined Carbone 4 in September 2024 and currently coordinates the modeling work for the IF Initiative. This methodological development program, which brings together major European companies and leading academic partners, aims to design new strategic foresight tools that will help users better anticipate disruptions and transformations associated with energy and climate challenges.
After earning his engineering degree (Supméca), Benoit initially held various engineering positions in the automotive and then nuclear industries. He then spent 10 years at BNP Paribas, leading a team that modeled financial risks associated with industrial equipment markets (agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and heavy-duty trucks). He also held a management position at a data preparation software company.
At the same time, drawing on his background in Management and Sustainable Development (HEC Montréal), Benoit collaborated with the Rousseau Institute on modeling the investments needed for the transition of EU countries (the “Road to Net Zero” report).
