The Hub
The Hub for Low-Carbon Building Professionals
WHAT IS THE HUB?
To support decision-makers in the construction industry (project owners, engineering firms, general contractors) in developing low-carbon solutions, the French Institute for Building Performance (IFPEB) and Carbone 4 have implemented the Low-Carbon Decision-Makers Hub.
This collaborative platform provides participants with access to a range of tools, targeted services, and information organized by families of iso-functional materials. It also provides training for operations managers and facilitates the exchange of analyses and feedback. The stated goal of this platform is to create a community of experts equipped with highly practical tools, establish a low-carbon culture within the industry, and inform the industry about the optimal carbon-to-cost ratio.

Program Overviews
The Hub’s sector briefs aim to present the state of the art in a given sector, its main objectives, its low-carbon trajectory through 2030 and 2050, and its contribution to low-carbon construction. The briefs also provide an opportunity to create a “low-carbon innovation compendium,” featuring a map of key players and an overview of best practices.
The full versions of the briefs are available only to Hub members. The summary versions are made public.
- 1st Program Overview (December 2020), his book innovation and the rebroadcast of the webinar.
The Hub Barometer
Each month, we analyze and track the data published in these two key databases to foster healthy, collective competition among building industry stakeholders:
- Reporting on Key Results and Key Figures
- Highlight the best solutions
