The Framework for Analyzing Business Resilience to the Impacts of Climate Change
To help businesses cope with the climate change that is already underway, Carbone 4 Launches the OCARA Project (Operational Climate Adaptation & Resilience Assessment).
OCARA aims to create a framework for analyzing the resilience of businesses to the impacts of climate change. Like the Carbon Footprint Assessment, which enables companies to evaluate their vulnerability to carbon-related challenges, the framework will be operational, covering the entire value chain, with a structure organized by corporate functions and business lines. The framework will enable companies to assess their vulnerabilities, identify areas requiring attention, and then implement climate resilience measures.
The project is supported by ADEME, HDI Global France, Bureau Veritas, and other partners. The Grand Est Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is a partner in the project. A committee of experts has also been established.
The project will last one year to allow for testing at companies. The final guide will be available in September 2021.
