

2019 Virtual Climate Summit

"A key event to drive change in France in the fight against climate change in the business sector."
From November 18–27, 2019 was held for the first time on Virtual Climate Summit, a an event dedicated to climate issues, held entirely online, intended for professionals.
The fight against climate change affects all sectors and requires theinvolvement of businesses, the financial sector, and local governments. Everyone must become aware of one's role and equip themselves with tools and best practices to launch innovative initiatives contributing to France's Objective 2.
To encourage organizations to to feel like an active participant in the transition, this event featured a number of webinars presenting practical solutions. These web conferences were hosted by climate experts and representatives of organizations committed to decarbonization who shared their experiences.
To best promote the exchange and sharing of knowledge, the Virtual Climate Summit was free, in French, and accessible to everyone.
Renaud Bettin, a manager at Carbone 4, spoke at two web conferences:
- La Rochelle Local Carbon Cooperative: Building Momentum and Measuring the Impact of “Zero Carbon” Initiatives, Wednesday, November 20, at 9:30 a.m.;
- What steps are needed to ensure effective and responsible carbon offsetting?, Monday, November 25, at 2:00 p.m.
