Carbone 4 Luxembourg Roundtable

On Tuesday, November 26, Carbone 4 hosted a roundtable discussion in Luxembourg City to mark the launch of our Luxembourg office.

A roundtable discussion moderated by Christina Stuart and our partners Jean-Marc Jancovici and Laurent Morel at the House of Sustainability and which provided an opportunity to explain why we established our operations in the Grand Duchy, as well as our decarbonization strategies to address climate challenges, particularly for the Luxembourg economy.

All of this took place in the company of representatives from the country’s key sectors (industry, finance, and services), who explained the importance of their work, the concrete steps they are taking, and their outlook on decarbonizing the economy.

It was a very important event because it was the first time our group had ventured outside France.

And because it is of the utmost importance to adopt a cooperative approach at the regional and European levels to turn climate challenges into opportunities.

Given their location at the heart of Europe, Luxembourg companies will therefore have a role to play in achieving climate goals (-55% between 1990 and 2030). The challenge is a significant one, and our event gives us reason to believe that we can succeed through raising awareness and collaborating with the local ecosystem.

As Christina Stuart so aptly put it at the start of the discussion (and Master Yoda before her), “Fear is the path to the dark side.”

The fear of change, disruption, and uncertainty—which can lead to paralysis.

Yet we must continue to be ambitious, bold, and hopeful. And we look forward to contributing to this effort and creating new synergies.
