Carbone 4 Morning Show: Ecopsychology

On October 15, C3D and Carbone 4 organized their First experiential conference on ecopsychology.
Ecopsychology is the theoretical, methodological, and practical field—still largely unknown in France—which, on the one hand, explores the deep-rooted psychological causes of the current ecological crisis ; and, on the other hand, who encourages people to acknowledge the emotions triggered by the many aspects of this crisis (biodiversity loss, climate change, and other major environmental issues of our time). As a result, Ecopsychology involves working through the beliefs and other forms of resistance that hinder our ability to confront this deeply troubling ecological situation. Ultimately, it helps process all the emotions that arise as a result, thereby building resilience and the capacity to take action. How did we end up organizing an event like this? Members of CSR teams are particularly vulnerable to alarming environmental information, and are often, moreover, the vehicle for this information. On the initiative ofAlexandre Florentin, a manager at Carbone 4, and Sébastien Mandron, a member of the C3D Board of Directors, we therefore created a a time for discussion and sharing in order to explore these issues, understand how to better cope with them in our daily lives, and transform “ecological distress” into a capacity for action.Following a theoretical presentation on this field by two ecopsychologists, Martine Capron and Jean-Pierre Le Danff, small-group discussion sessions were organized.
A First Event rich and inspiring on fundamental issues that have not yet been addressed within the company.
