Carbone 4 responded to the European Commission's consultation on the CSRD
Adopted by the Parliament in late 2022, the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) is currently being supplemented and expanded through its delegated acts, which detail the procedures—or standards—that companies must follow to report on environmental and social issues. It is in this context that the European Commission has launched a consultation aimed at gathering the views and suggestions of various stakeholders.
As a reminder, the main objective of the CSRD is to harmonize and strengthen regulations on non-financial reporting and to improve the availability and quality of published ESG data.
In early June, Carbone 4 expressed concern about the limitations of the proposed delegated acts and feared a scaling back of the ambitions needed to engage businesses on climate, environmental, and social issues.
To contribute to the discussion and share its expertise, Carbone 4 has responded to the European Commission's public consultation.
