Carbone 4 Study for Thalys - Every year, Thalys generates 140 million euros in revenue for the community!

With just a few months to go before COP21, Thalys has released a study on its externalities commissioned from the consulting firm Carbone 4. Led by Jean-Marc Jancovici, an associate director and expert on energy and climate change issues, the study reveals that the indirect benefits generated by Thalys between Paris, Belgium, the Netherlands, and western Germany amount to 140 million euros.

I hope these results will contribute to the dialogue on the role of rail in the sustainable transportation ecosystem we are building for the future. “We call this Responsible Mobility, and Thalys has a duty to set an example in this debate,” explains Agnès Ogier, CEO of Thalys.
