Press Release: 10 Principles for Ambitious Corporate Climate Action
Carbone 4's Net Zero Initiative is releasing its 10 principles for ambitious corporate climate action today, the result of a collaborative effort carried out hand in hand with a large number of professionals in France’s climate ecosystem. These ten principles aim to encourage the private sector to set more ambitious goals by laying the groundwork for a rigorous and ambitious corporate climate strategy, aligned with scientific evidence and the objectives of the Paris Agreement. This initiative, coordinated by Carbone 4 and carried out in collaboration with ADEME, brought together around fifty climate consulting firms, carbon offset project developers, carbon footprint management software providers, and professional networks.
Today, the signatories to these ten principles are calling on all organizations, regardless of their size or sector, to put them into practice in order to develop a climate strategy that is up to the challenge.

César Dugast, NZI project lead, manager at Carbone 4: "We are pleased to have been able to coordinate this one-of-a-kind effort, which has resulted in a common position among virtually the entire industry on the thorny issue of corporate contributions to global net-zero. Today, a large part of the private sector has not yet fully grasped the urgency of the climate crisis. Yet it has never been more urgent to take action: that is why, in the absence of more ambitious regulatory measures, We have no choice but to work together within our profession to raise the overall standard on our own initiative. "That is the purpose of these 10 principles: to provide companies with the tools they need to develop a climate strategy that is up to the challenge, and to declare that we, as climate change professionals, will henceforth base our support services on this foundation."
