Climate Change: A New Challenge for the Financial Sector!
Climate Change: A New Challenge for the Financial Sector!
Carbone 4 contributed its expertise to the development of a methodological guide for estimating GHG emissions tailored to the financial sector. This guide was funded by ORSE, ADEME, the Association Bilan Carbone, and Caisse des Dépôts.
The result of a collaborative effort involving 70 participants from financial institutions, consulting firms, NGOs, and associations, this guide, grounded in an international context, is designed to help financial sector stakeholders account for their direct and indirect GHG emissions and, as a result, reduce their carbon footprint.
More specifically, it identifies a range of best practices, tools, and methods for fostering sector-wide momentum and raising awareness of climate issues among financial sector stakeholders.
The three sections of the guide can be accessed directly via the following links:
Volume 1: Background and Challenges in Quantifying Greenhouse Gas Emissions for the Financial Sector
Volume 2: How to Conduct a Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Operational Emissions?
Volume 3: A case study of a “top-down” methodology for quantifying financed emissions.
You can also find them on the ORSE website starting on next link
