Energy sovereignty, energy efficiency, and carbon neutrality goals: What role should the energy sector play?

Interview with Alexandre Joly, Louise Badoche
Today, our energy system relies on coal, oil, and natural gas. Globally, these fossil fuels account for 80% of our energy supply. They drive economic growth, but the greenhouse gas emissions associated with their use are causing climate change.
The war that has broken out in Ukraine reminds us of our lack of foresight, vision, and courage when it comes to our energy independence, which is paralyzing us on the geopolitical stage.
- How Can We Achieve Energy Sovereignty?
- What are the drivers of decarbonization in the energy sector?
- How much importance should we place on moderation?
These are the questions we’ll be discussing in this episode with Alexandre Joly, a manager at Carbone 4 and head of the Energy Division.
