Resilience and Adaptation to the Impacts of Climate Change: A New Priority for Businesses?
Carbone 4 identifies three contextual factors that should prompt organizations to address the issue of resilience to the impacts of climate change, that is, physical risks.
- Examples of supply disruptions are on the rise, climate-related natural disasters are becoming increasingly severe, and the impacts on our societies are significant; the availability of resources is being severely jeopardized.
- The regulatory landscape is taking shape: the European taxonomy, CSRD, CDP, and TCFD. It is now necessary to assess the risks affecting companies’ assets as well as their business continuity.
- The scientific community is sounding increasingly alarming warnings about the impacts of climate change, both in terms of changes in natural hazards and the consequences for our societies. The data are available, and analytical methods exist.
Carbone 4 has been supporting businesses on these issues for the past 8 years, and, drawing on its experience, has developed analytical methods tailored to businesses (OCARA, CIARA, CRIS, BATADA).
During this webinar, Carbone 4 presents concrete examples of projects carried out with companies from various sectors on the topic of risk analysis related to the impacts of climate change and their adaptation pathways.
